Small Business Owner - Regarding: Project Turnkey Hapigood Testimonial

I wanted to reach out and thank you for not following through with the purchase of the hotel in Clackamas. Unlike Multnomah County and the governor’s office you take the time to listen to your community and business owners. With all of the destruction from riots and lawlessness of others, businesses and communities have suffered. I do believe there is a viable solution, and certainly another hotel in a more appropriate area may offer the right solutions as it pertains to the homeless population. As an Oregon City business owner and citizen I support your efforts and look forward to all the good you bring to the community. God bless!

Tootie Smith is singularly responsible for turning what was a dysfunctional county government into the efficient, affordable and accountable machine of services it has become. Her leadership has resulted in demonstrably better outcomes in dealing with crime, homelessness, transportation, and economic development than any other county in the state. Everyone in Clackamas County should be grateful for how transformational her Chairmanship has been to making Clackamas County an incredible place to live, work and play. Please join me in voting to re-elect Tootie Smith for Clackamas County Chair.

They state needs to start recognizing that Clackamas County and its cities are solving problems left and right. It gets really old seeing the state turning its back to us. 2020 the cities stopped the fire. 2023 and 2024 the county and cities fought the homeless problem and we are winning! When will the state recognize we are innovators at solving issue? Thank you Chair Smith for leading the fight.
